Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Oskar Zięta, founder of Zieta Studio. The organic Tafla O4 mirror manufactured by Zieta Studio is a sculptural mirror-like object that reflects its surroundings in two shades of time-passing. The distorted edges of the mirror are the effect of the manufacturing method Zieta Studio applies in their collection of wall decor. The original FiDU technology is based on joining two pieces of steel, which then gain a third dimension in the process of inflating into tridimensional objects with compressed air. Oscar Zięta is an architect, artist and process designer. He is the author of the iconic PLOPP stool (2008) and other inflated steel projects on the verge between sculpture and functional objects. His works are in the collections of the Pompidou Center in Paris, Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, and Victoria & Albert Museum, London, among others.
