Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Cima, a LED lamp with dimmer designed by Marco Dessí for Lodes, the Italian premium lighting brand. Inspired by the function of the jam cleats found in sailing boats, Cima—a nautical rope in Italian— is a “suspended” lamp characterised by a ceiling-to-floor rope, a sleek and highly functional design element.
Marco Dessí, born 1976 in Merano, lives and works in Vienna. He studied Industrial Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Since founding his own design studio in 2007, he has already realized a number of projects with well-known Austrian manufactories.
Venice-based Lodes has been designing and producing lighting solutions for interiors and exteriors since 1950. Originating in founder Angelo Tosetto’s passion for glass and informed by continuous technological research, the company has evolved into one of Europe’s leading designers and manufacturers of decorative lighting.
