Goin' Home is a hand knotted rug Pierson designed for Henzel Studio in 2018. The design is based on a re-appropriated a component of his sculpture 'Goin' Home' from 2011. The connected shapes creates free-form carpet with variable pile heights for dimension and enhanced use of silk to increase contrast. Jack Pierson has had solo and group shows at major institutions such as Aspen Art Museum, MCA Chicago, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), MoMA PS1, New Museum New York, ICA London, Hammer Museum Los Angeles, The Bass Museum of Art in Miami and collected by major institutions such as MCA Chicago and Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) New York.
