Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Maestro table by Gianfranco Frattani for Acerbis. Created at the end of the 1990s by architect Gianfranco Frattini, the Maestro table combines design vision and excellence in the of Italian cabinetmaking savoir faire. Wood is Frattini’s favourite material and reveals his passion through all his projects.
Gianfranco Frattini was born in Padua in 1926. He graduated with a degree in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1953. Frattini opened his own professional practice in Milan, after having worked in the office of his teacher and mentor Gio Ponti. In 1956 he co-founded ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale – and throughout his career he practised both industrial design and architecture, focusing mostly on interiors. He was a board member of the Triennale di Milano. Great connoisseur of wood craftsmanship, he forged a long and fruitful professional partnership with the master craftsman Pierluigi Ghianda.
Acerbis offers a luxurious design experience that seamlessly aligns with the conceptual aesthetics of its furnishings. Through years of experimentation and industrialization, Acerbis has forged a distinct DNA of Italian ingenuity, catering to a forward-thinking clientele. Today, this mission is revitalized with fresh vigor. The recent partnership with industry leader MDF Italia, coupled with the appointment of creative directors Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces, marks a dynamic new chapter for Acerbis. This collaboration reaffirms Acerbis' family-led tradition of visionary design, presenting a universe of creations that beautifully merge functionality with avant-garde innovation.
