Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Papillon, a sofa designed by Guido Rosati for Giovannetti. After studying architecture, Rosati turned his focus to design, developing experimental approaches to multifunctional furniture from his studio in Rome. During the 1970s and 1980s, Rosati designed highly innovative lighting for companies including Fontana Arte, Ve Art, I Tre, Murano Due, and Luxo. In the same period, he also created sofas for brands such as Giovannetti, Uvet, Poltronova, Sofart, and Arflex, earning significant recognition for his work. In more recent years, Rosati has collaborated with leading upholstered furniture companies including BPA, Flexform, Désirée, Biesse, and Saba.
