Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present the Palla armchair by Claudio Salocchi for Acerbis. Claudio Salocchi (1934–2012) was an Italian architect and designer whose innovative work helped define the creative landscape of the 1960s and 1970s. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he worked internationally across industrial design, architecture and interiors, often anticipating future forms, technologies and typologies.
The seat and footstool interlock in a dynamic composition, resulting in a playful yet refined design defined by generous volumes, comfort and precise detailing.
Acerbis offers a luxurious design experience that seamlessly aligns with the conceptual aesthetics of its furnishings. Through years of experimentation and industrialization, Acerbis has forged a distinct DNA of Italian ingenuity, catering to a forward-thinking clientele. Today, this mission is revitalized with fresh vigor. The recent partnership with industry leader MDF Italia, coupled with the appointment of creative directors Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces, marks a dynamic new chapter for Acerbis. This collaboration reaffirms Acerbis' family-led tradition of visionary design, presenting a universe of creations that beautifully merge functionality with avant-garde innovation.
