Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Awkward Light Wall designed by Anatomy Design in 2012. Quirky and intentionally off-balance, Awkward is a floor lamp with an elongated, slender form designed to light two nearby spots—such as both sides of a sofa or an armchair and a desk.
South African interior design duo Anatomy Design—led by Megan Hesse and Andrea Kleinloog—work with a pragmatic, utilitarian sensibility shaped by African perspectives and informed by European influences. Based in Cape Town and Johannesburg, they create interiors and products for both private and corporate clients, earning multiple awards along the way. They also play an active role in their industry and are behind the creative hub and event Design Joburg.
