Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present 'Miss Table' by artist and designer Verter Turroni. Turroni’s artistic workshop, Imperfetto Lab, is based in Gambettola, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Founded in 1992 by Turroni and his wife, Emanuela Ravelli, the studio operates at the intersection of design, material research, and artistic experimentation. Each piece is produced from a shared mould, then individually sanded, painted, and hand-polished. While the origin point is consistent, the finishing process varies from object to object, resulting in subtle differences that make every piece singular. The majority of Imperfetto Lab’s works are produced in fiberglass — a lightweight yet highly durable material resistant to weather conditions and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Available in a wide range of formulations, fiberglass combines the adaptability of plastic with the structural strength of glass. Pound for pound, it surpasses both steel and aluminum in strength, enabling forms that are simultaneously precise and resilient. Imperfetto Lab is known for its rigorous attention to detail and uncompromising craftsmanship, with each object occupying a space between functional design and sculptural presence. Alongside production, the studio runs its own gallery, supporting experimental art research and hosting exhibitions and performances. Since 2001, it has served as a platform where artists are invited to test, challenge, and validate new ideas.
