Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Arché by artist and designer Verter Turroni. This lounge chair features strong, solid legs with clear geometries that support the circular harmony of the deep seat. The result is a unique design that is both futuristic and primitive. An evocative shape like a metaphor, enriching indoors and outdoors with its symbolic beauty. Turroni's artistic workshop Imperfetto Lab is located in Gambettola, Emilia Romanga, Italy. The studio was founded in 1992, by Turroni and his wife Emanuela Ravelli. Each exclusive piece is made from a common mould, which is then sanded, painted, and hand-polished. The working process differs for each type of object, thus becoming unique in its genre. Their pieces is mainly manufactured in fiberglass, a highly versatile lightweight material that is resistant to any weather conditions, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Available in a wide range of formulations, fiberglass couples the formability of plastic with the strength of glass. Pound–for–pound, fiberglass is even stronger than steel or aluminum. Imperfetto Lab combines exceptional attention to detail with first-class craftsmanship, making each design a work-of-art. Their own gallery promotes a wide range of art research projects, and organizes exhibitions and performances. Since 2001, it has been a place where artists can experiment with and validate their work.
