Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Under Pressure, a  pendant designed by Boris Klimek & Lenka Damová for Brokis, the Czech premium lighting brand. Under Pressure draws inspiration from the moment molten glass solidifies—fragile yet strong. Its dynamic forms seem shaped by invisible forces, capturing organic tension frozen in time. A central threaded rod adds geometric order and industrial elegance, contrasting with the glass’s fluid character. Available in various sizes, colours, and finishes, the collection blends strength and delicacy, creating a striking focal point for any interior.

Boris Klimek graduated in Product and Conceptual Design from the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague. He also studied at Sheffield Hallam University, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, and worked with designers Michal Froněk and Jan Němeček (Olgoj Chorchoj). Awarded multiple times for his work, Boris is now based in Prague, focusing on product and interior design. His creations combine function with poetry, playfulness, and storytelling—designed to spark imagination and emotion.

Lenka Damová is a designer based in Prague. Since completing her studies at the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague, she has primarily focused on product and interior design. Her work embodies individuality and simplicity, giving rise to designs that make sensitive use of various principles and inspiration to achieve an effect that is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
