Evoking Salvador Dalí’s 1930s artwork Mae West’s Face which May be Used as a Surrealist Apartment, this welcoming soft polyurethane iconic piece has been exhibited and are represented in some of most important museums in the world, such as the Louvre, Paris, MoMA, New York, and the Design Museum in Monaco. Franco Audrito founded Studio65 in Turin in 1965 as an avant-garde experimentation collective that brought together a group of artists, painters, photographers, and aspiring filmmakers- all students of the Faculty of Architecture. Since 1966 Gufram has been producing design icons that have become unique in form and value thanks to the cross-contamination between the industrial design approach, the artisanal creation and the imaginative flair typical of art.
