Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present the Life sofa by Roberto Monsani by Acerbis. Roberto Monsani started his professional career in Florence by designing homes and urban development plans in Tuscany. Between the 1970s and 1990s he designed commercial buildings and shops in Europe, America and Asia. In 1973, from the restructuring of a sales centre inside Palazzo Ferroni, Life was born: conceived as an artistic solution, it became an industrial product in 1974, the year in which the collaboration between Acerbis and Monsani began. His most recent works have been in Rome: the recovery of representative spaces and the furnishing inside the historic Palazzo Borghese, and the conversion of the Adriano theatre in Piazza Cavour.
Acerbis offers a luxurious design experience that seamlessly aligns with the conceptual aesthetics of its furnishings. Through years of experimentation and industrialization, Acerbis has forged a distinct DNA of Italian ingenuity, catering to a forward-thinking clientele. Today, this mission is revitalized with fresh vigor. The recent partnership with industry leader MDF Italia, coupled with the appointment of creative directors Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces, marks a dynamic new chapter for Acerbis. This collaboration reaffirms Acerbis' family-led tradition of visionary design, presenting a universe of creations that beautifully merge functionality with avant-garde innovation.
