Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Osaka by Pierre Paulin for LaCividina. In 1967, the French designer challenged the rationalism that was predominant at the time by envisaging a range of seats with naturally winding lines. Developed for Expo 1970 in the city after which it is named, the Osaka sofa has been revitalized by LaCividina. Endless seating solutions can be created simply by joining together its straight and curved modules.
LaCividina envisions and crafts series of designer armchairs and sofas that embody the true essence and distinctive qualities associated with the "Made in Italy" brand. With nearly five decades of innovative manufacturing, LaCividina has sustained the invaluable traits of Italian craftsmanship in its products. The fusion of meticulous attention to detail with global competitiveness is facilitated by outstanding organizational and managerial prowess. Each assortment of sofas and armchairs emerges from continuous collaboration with designers worldwide, positioning LaCividina as a key contributor to significant interior living projects in diverse public and private settings. Upholding unadulterated aesthetics, utilizing high-quality materials, achieving flawless workmanship, and maintaining exceptional organizational standards, LaCividina seamlessly blends comfort with alluring designs, thereby preserving the vibrant legacy of Italian manual culture.
