Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present the Balloons floor lamp by Lucie Koldova and Dan Yeffet for Brokis. Defined by its large handblown glass shades and suspended metal reflector, the collection combines sculptural presence with technical mastery. Available in three sizes, Balloons remains one of the most iconic designs in the Brokis portfolio and functions as both a light source and a statement object.
Originally introduced in 2010, the collection reflects Lucie Koldova’s refined approach to form, material, and craftsmanship. Influenced by her years in Paris, Koldova combines traditional techniques with contemporary technologies, creating works distinguished by elegant proportions, subtle contrasts, and a strong material sensibility. Dan Yeffet, who established his studio in Amsterdam before relocating to Paris, shares a similar commitment to craftsmanship and innovation. Together, they developed several celebrated collections for Brokis, including Muffins, Balloons, and Shadows.
Brokis is internationally recognized for its fusion of contemporary design and Bohemian glassmaking. Combining handblown glass with finely crafted metal and wood elements, the company continues to expand the possibilities of modern lighting through innovation, craftsmanship, and over two centuries of glassmaking tradition.
