Kalkeriet Contemporary is pleased to present Storet by Nanda Vigo for Acerbis. A playful and spirited column of drawers, the Storet chest reflects the visionary design of Nanda Vigo. Available as a tall vertical piece or a compact nightstand, it blends timeless character with contemporary craftsmanship. The visible walnut grain showcases Acerbis’s expertise in working with expansive wood surfaces—offered in dark-stained walnut, black ash, or matte lacquer. Glossy lacquered drawers, available in the iconic Acerbis palette.
Nanda Vigo (Milan, 1936–2020) lived between Milan and East Africa. Her passion for art began early, influenced by time spent with Filippo de Pisis and exposure to Giuseppe Terragni´s architecture, which taught her the importance of light. After graduating from the Institute Polytechnique in Lausanne and further studies in San Francisco, she opened her own studio in Milan in 1959 and exhibited across Italy and Europe.
In 1965, she curated the legendary " ZERO avantgarde" exhibition in Lucio Fontana´s Milan studio. Vigo’s interdisciplinary work spanned art, design, architecture, and environmental projects. Her career was defined by a deep commitment to art, leading to collaborations with major cultural figures and a constant drive to champion and promote artistic expression.
